Easy Taco Dip


  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning (1 ounce packet of taco seasoning)
  • 1 cup finely shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar and monterey jack blend (see notes)
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 3/4 cup diced tomatoes (see notes)
  • 2 green onions sliced thin
  • 1 small jalapeno sliced thin


  1. Using a mixer, blend the cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning together.  Spread in a 9-inch pie plate or an equivalent dish.
  2. Top with lettuce, cheddar, Monterey jack, black olives, tomatoes, green onions, and jalapeno peppers.


  • Grape tomatoes are always a good choice, especially in the winter months.
  • Any good taco or Mexican cheese blend will work
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
